Katherine Don is a writer and specialist in contemporary Chinese art, currently living in Beijing. Her writing has been published in local publications, as well as Art in America and Art Asia Pacific. Born in Hawaii, she graduated with a dual-degree in Art History and East Asian Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University and has worked at various art institutions in New York City and Beijing. She is a former director of a New York-based gallery focusing on contemporary Chinese art. In 2005, she co-founded RedBox Studio, an art and design studio providing a unique combination of art consulting and graphic design services to the art community in Beijing and abroad. As Director, she works with artists, curators, galleries and institutions to realize exhibitions, art programs, and publications dedicated to the promotion of art and design in China.
